How long do you stay at 1100?

OK i placed my order on 11/20
My order is STILL at 1100.
The car is nothing special, just a 2LT with a moonroof, not even the RS package. I contacted my dealer today and he told me he has plenty of allocation, and GM just hasn't taken the order yet.

So after 7 weeks, am I just unlucky, or is my dealer lying to me? I know an order can sit at GM for a long time for various reasons, but what would be the huge delay in GM just picking up the order?

The time spent at 1100 is controlled by the dealer, not GM. If a dealer has allocation and "places" the order, your event code changes to 2000. Until that time, you stay at 1100. Make sure you stay in contact with your dealer regarding allocation.

until you get an allocation for your car, could be days, weeks, even months. well prob not months anymore. like becky said.

Well I had a weird scenario.....

I placed the order on 12/9/2009 and I was at 1100 according to dealer, camarotracking.com and the camarotracking.com email alerts up till today. Now I suddenly jumped to 3000, according to the camarotracking.com email I received today.

I feel like its so frikking random before the order status gets to 3000. I am glad I am at this point, because I was thinking I may have to wait till I get to 2000 and then on and on.

If they are telling you that they have allocations and GM just isn't picking up your order, they are lying to you.

On another note..........I see that you ordered on 11/20, so this could be a bigger problem i.e. dealer is shaftin you.

I would try to see if you can get your money back, and re-order or find a car through CamaroScotty or Becky. Both of them are awesome, I have asked so many questions to either of these 2, and I am not even buying the car from them. If I had found the site earlier, definitely woulda ordered from either one of these dealers.

On the subject of allocation, besides your dealer telling you if they have it or not and running the risk of them lying to you, is there any other way to find out if the dealer has allocation?

crooks, you would think if the dealer was up front and honest saying no we do not have them at this time and not give you the BS then more people would stay with that dealer. cuz once the buyer finds outs they are been dicked around, the dealer loses the sale.

Order placed on 11/20, Got this response from my dealer on 1/7, after asking if he has allocation and if i'm on a waiting list. I'm still at 1100

There is no reason, unfortunately they close the factory around the holiday and that is definitely holding back production. I have plenty of allocation so that is not an issue. Hopefully it will get picked up sooner than later.

If you're still at 1100, i'd start asking around at another dealer. I placed mid december and just got my 3000 update from camarotracking.com. They did shut down their stuff for a couple of weeks, but it's definitely back now.

Greetings 1008COM,

I live close by to you in Wakefield. If you don't mind me asking where did you order your car? Being still at 1100 is a dealer allocation issue. HE HAS NONE! You need to find a new dealer pronto! I know a good, reliable, honest dealer in the area. No BS, no stories. If you ordered your car on 11/20, it should be on it's way to you by now, or you should even have it by now.

I hit the send button too soon. Sorry....

I ordered mine on July 20th. My dealer told me he didn't have allocation until Aug 1st. He had told me all along (since MAy) if I ordered the car, he would sell at list. He told me it would take approx 11 weeks to get to him. Never waivered from his promises. I recieved my Car in Sept. As promised.
