Yeah...track times SUCKED. Sorry to everyone else and what they think, but I was not too happy.
I ran a best of 13.601 @ 109.-- Yeah...not a 4th Gen times...but then again, it WAS 91 degrees. |

I got a 14.5 on my last run. I only ran 3 times. I made the third one like 20 minutes after Tag and Skoot left.
I found out tonight that I am terrible at shifting. I swear my skip shift is messin with me or something. I had a 98 Jetta GT 2.0 that I could powershift through the gears with ease... This shifter doesn't feel right. oh well. I ran 15.1, 15.1, 14.5...I'm sure I'll break in the 13's next time... I just need more passes to figure out this shifter. f*c|( me I wish I did better. |

Not bad cause that's what you estimated. And it will improve. Did you put the royal purple in yet?

But we just want our cars to perform to their potential. Knowing that I'm the kink is upsetting. I just read some tips and watched some videos on driver mods.... haha. Hopefully next time I'll be quicker. I want a 2.0 60ft time.. |

Hello!
|
Great time and I did say to Tag at one point last night...might be running slower than we want but hey...we are out here running our Camaros!!
I ran the same as I had before, 13.8 @ 106. I did drop my 60ft times though from a 2.4 to a 2.1...but still the same time and same trap speed (actually...my time was slower by .100 and mph were off by .23??) Learning to launch this car still and the rear gears don't help much...plus tall tires. She looks pretty though heading down the 1320!! I'll keep going and I'll get her to low 13s...I know it's in her and I know I can get her there! Last edited by Legend; 07-30-2009 at 10:06 AM. |

Had a ball. Only got one timed run in - 13.9 at 107. I did 13.7 at 106 last Friday.
Last Friday I got 6 runs in with no problems. Last night sucked - once they drop oil and car parts all up the track - I am very wary about running. I enjoyed finally putting some faces to the posts. I may have missed one or two, but I think I met most of you all. I have not looked at the videos my wife took, but I will get to them as soon as I can and get them posted. I will try to make it to Biff's Friday night. What time do you all recommend arriving? I hear it fills up fast - I have never been. Steve |

Two notes:
1. I had a little over half a tank of gas.....BAD 2. I had my speaker box in the trunk....not good. ( I was hoping to drop that in Turtles truck, but his work kept him from coming out). Heading up there with less in the tank and taking out that box will get me at least a 10th of a second quicker time. On top of that, if I can get the car to launch better, I think I can pull off 2/10ths of a second better as well. I think I can get it down into the 13.3 range WITH THIS HEAT. Toss in a CAI and some cooler air and I think we might have a great combo for some high 12's. Again....got to get that car to stick to the track...it's tough...spun the tires for a brief sec on all 3 of my runs (and I redlined in 2nd on my third run). That didn't help. Can't wait to see if we have some good video. I'd love to see that. |
