Impulsive me
So as some of you know I've mentioned I was going to buy a gtr to be my toy car. So I don't mess up the 1LE. Well I got my first CEL due to performance cats. And it's all digressed from there to now I plan on "blowing" the camaro instead of getting the GTR for now. It will be next September or so before I have the funds. But I like to do research as I often change my mind about these things. But I was planning on SLP TSV2300 stage 1 kit. Which makes 575 hp in am SS. So with few small mods I would get with it would be around. 635 on the 1le on the conservative side. Comments? Suggestions? Go!

And yes I know that cam would gain 50hp easy with a SC. But I do not want to open the engine. I will most likely keep the cs turned down aroun 500-525hp.

Local shop said $1500 for full install. But that I should get LT. I was thinking more of a nice set of shorties as I already have HF cats

I always liked the idea of doing a stroker build and keeping it NA especially for a track car like a 427 build or 416 then if you really must you can always add a blower to the 416 engine. LG got 540 RWHP out of an stroker build.

You would leave some power on the table with shorties/hfc vs long tubes, especially with FI. I believe another member on here had shorties/hfc with a centri before going long tubes, he had good power with shorties.
Shorties arent that much cheaper than long tubes. you could buy lts then sell your HFCs on here and get almost even as hfcs+shorties. I say if youre going t do it, do it right the first time. |

And I'm not looking for max power. Like I said most of its life it will be turned down. And I want cats because this will still be DD

Thanks for specifying!
It's quite a big difference $$$ wise for an R32 vs. an R35. I'm looking forward to seeing R32's everywhere now that it's legal to have a 1989 imported RHD ftw lol Nick C.
