SOLO EXHAUST UPGRADE 12 LFX STICK COUPE

Hi All, I just bought myself 2012 LFX manual coupe and was drawn to the SOLO cat back system before I made the deal from the video clips online etc. Now some people say you would be just wasting your money with an exhaust for v6 car. All it will do is sound like a wannabe v8 import etc. Are many people running the SOLO kit here and IYO is it worth the dough for a solid deep sound and performance gains? I am thinking I either do the CAI kit or SOLO exhaust. In Canada the CAI costs around $600 and the exhaust is around $1100 so just trying to see what is better bang for the buck? Thoughts?

I'm not sure about the solo kit I've heard them and they're nice but most run a resonated xpipe and a muffler delete which sounds the best IMO.. and maybe cost you around 250 bucks

I agree.. I'd never pay 599 to 1500 for a prebuilt exhaust it's ridiculous lol.. what he said 👆

i picked up the solo cat back exhaust system used. I had planned on doing the resonated x-pipe but couldn't pass up the deal on the solo. that being said I am glad I went with the full exhaust. I didn't have to cut and patch pieces opening up the possibility to leaks.
If you are on a limited budget I would go with the cai. it will make the car sound better, you will get some improvement in power, but the sound made me smile.

If you were sticking to a budget, muffler swaps are great, or going the resonated X route as Sanjay mentioned. You could potentially do the CAI and one of those mods for under $1100.

Thanks for all the Feedback so far everybody. I am new to this model and mods to a LFX v6. My car is all stock manual trans 2012 1LT RS.

That being said I am wondering the best order to pursue to make the best bang for my buck improvements as time and money allows. The CAI I think for sure and going with either K and N or spend the extra and go with the CAI kit. I am still undecided which one but going to be one of those and soon. Next for sound and performance I am leaning towards the cat back Solo kit I was offered the system at a great price from the local dealer. I will say Sanjay that your car sounds great thx for videos! So this H pipe part would have to be welded in place of existing factory pipes? And the muffler delete everbody mentions is what exactly...is there something to go in place of them off the shelf that you purchase or do you just have a shop put in straight pipes in place of the mufflers? If I do CAI and cat back exhaust first then what would be the next best mod to do? Thx Darryl

Hey Sanjay did you leave those little factory bullet resonators in when installing the x pipe?
