Siphon the gas unless you really need to drop the tank.

The back plugs are pretty easy from the bottom.

I just dropped my tank last Sunday. First remove the gas filler door and plastic neck surrounding. Then you need to drop the rear axle, remove the lower shock bolts, disconnect the sway links, unbolt the center brake hose from the axle housing, remove the passenger side tire(you need room to move the exhaust system over). Now lower the housing, the coil springs will drop out. now disconnect the exhaust from the catalytic converter, unbolt the left tail pipe hanger, slide the passenger side hanger out of bracket and scoot the system as far to the right of the car as possible. Now unbolt the heat shields. Finally you are looking at the gas tank. Disconnect the fuel lines on the driver's side (4) of them. Unplug the harness. Remove the two tank strap bolts and the tank will come down. Make sure you siphon as much fuel out of the tank as possible, because the is a little bit of twisting and turning to remove the tank.

Also I used a boat primer bulb and hose to siphon the tank.
