Tire / wheels Adice PLease!!

Hello All,

I have an 87' Iroc-Z, final product is a 383 stroker, approx 480 HP, approx 510lbs torque, Moser 3.89 9" Rear, Tremec TKO-600 5 speed, totally overhauled UMI Suspension, RAM dual disc hydraulic clutch... We are keeping the stock Iroc wheels, as many of you know the stock tire is a 245/50/16..

The car will be used as a weekend toy, dry weather conditions

Need some direction:
1- Do I go with Drag Radials? If so, all around, or just the rear?
2- What size should I run? 255's I hear fit no problem.. How about 265's?
3- Do I go with the same size all around?

Any guidance you guys can give is much appreciated!!

I am open to any suggestions..

Thanks for your feedback!

Lou

hey, you probably already have tires but i would highly recommend the BF Goodrich. 245/50r16 gforce sport 2's i think and the BFG drag radials 255/50r16. I had this set up on my 92 and i really liked it. i still have the same size tires on their now just not the drag radials. they were too expensive to replace considering how little use they get.

I'd certainly run drag radials in the rear. Stick with your stock size in the front if you're going to run the factory 16"s. You could go a little wider on the rear so as not to throw off the aspect ratio; however, you might want to consider sending them out to get widened.
