The kit comes in a dull unpainted black. Many get it painted to match prior to install, for an extra cost of course.

i ordered my ground kit for my 1lt after i bought it..it came in metal flake grey. if i didnt get the green stripes i would have left the effects kit grey..it looked really really good before i got the stripes. afterward i just had them painted to match the rest of the car so there werent too many colors..ill post of pic if i have one.

flat black is exactly what i wanted to get on my car. but i talked myself into the shamrock green instead.

Thanks I thought they would be metal grey. I have a friend that will spray it for the cost of the paint. Will install grey and see what it looks like, if we like it may get grey hood stripes. But I think the black on black will be the way to go.

Hi, well a few of you may recall my issues getting this car, but a miracle from above, no not that far above, just above if you know what i mean, occured, and I ended up getting my car at MSRP, and the rest is the icing on the cake. Here is my ride, going to have some upgrades tomorrow, here she is before tint, alarm and clear bra... Ok, sorry so many pics, my husband got snap happy, and a few were "chopped". The 1981 is ours, but the 67 you see in a few is a friends. Enjoy, and that 1981 will likely be for sale in the next few months. If anyone would be interested, pm me and when we do decide to sell I will check back with each of you to see if it is something you may still be interested in.

I was told by my dealer that it is important to paint the GFX *before* they are installed as they are hard-riveted onto the body and more difficult to paint after-the-fact...

That's the rout I'm going.

Should have a build-week committment mid month!!

Picked mine up this morning and everyone is right about drawing attention. I came out of the grocery store and two girls were looking my car over and taking pictures. I am still waiting for the GFX to be delivered however. Dealer said they expect delivery in 2 or 3 weeks. Then, off to the paint shop to get them painted and maybe some custom stripes.
