Painted Tail Light Bezels

Painted my tail light bezels this weekend. Went with flat black, I like it for now and think it gives some contrast, but still contemplating gloss black... Let me know you think on that. Also have an all black bowtie with cyber gray transformer stripe on the way from River City Creations.

looks great. Did you put a coat of clear on them as well?

I'm debating between flat black and satin black.

I didn't put any clear on it.. Kind of think I should have but they are easy enough to paint again if it doesn't hold up or I want something different.

Fair enough. I'm trying to match the color of the diffuser.

I used a plastic adhesion promoter and flat black rustoleum. Had good luck with that combo on plastic's in the past. I did clean and sand them first with 1000 grit wet-sand.

I'd say it's a pretty close match, although satin might be even closer.

Looks good in flat black

The "sanding" is the most important part of prepping it to look good. You did a great job. I want to do the same as I also own a black car!

God I tried to remove mine and I cracked one of the hooks. I was so upset that I decided I will never try again

I like the contrast between the Gloss black & flat black.

I got you beat I broke two of them! My hands are way too large to even get into the bottom section. I want to replace mine but refuse to break any more tabs off.
