High School Prom

Hey guys, let start off by introducing myself. My name is Matt Chambers. I am a high school senior at Garland High School and I love cars. My future career dream is to be a car designer. I created an account on here about ten minutes ago because I need some help. No I do not drive a Camaro, but I do enjoy them. My question comes in the form of a favor that I am looking to the number one Camaro community that I know of; Camaro5.

I need to borrow (rent) a Camaro for my high school prom.

Now that sounds like a massive request coming from an 18 year old teenage boy, but I have my reasoning. It's the girl. She is in love with Camaros. She says they are her dream car, and I want to surprise her by renting one for our prom.

I have been researching Avis, Budget, and other rental companies and there just aren't any who will legally rent them to me due to my age. I am willing to pay, and I need to borrow it for one full Saturday. I will return it Sunday morning.

If there are still fears concerning my maturity and liability in someone's hard-earned piece of American muscle, I apologize. For I cannot quell those opinions. However, I work for Exatorq Tuning (http://www.exatorq.com/HomePage) and I usually end up driving, onto our dyno, multiple 400+ hp Chargers/Challengers/300c each time I go in for a tune.

Please, let me know if anyone can be of assistance. Thanks so much!

I doubt youll find someone willing to rent theirs out to you although I do believe your responsible. You should get your mom or dad to rent and just take it to Prom. Everyone does it, just be responsible and youll have no problems. Have fun at Prom man, the after party is way better then Prom lol

Wow. Sorry, but I highly doubt this is going to happen for you. I just can't see anyone lending their car to a complete stranger. All this for a girl? Sorry, but not worth it. You have a lot to learn still.

Yeah, good luck. I don't know any owners that would rent or lend their Camaro to a total stranger.

This is one of the funnest threads ever.

Oh ,you mean your are serious. HAHa!!! Good luck. If you were my own son and my camaro was the only way for to get to the prom, I wouldn't lend it to you.

I think it's really funny that you expect to have it the full night into the next day.

Did you ask your parents to rent the car for you?

Maybe your boss at ExaTorq Tuning could help you out since he would probably know your maturity and responsibility level better than a bunch of strangers on a website.

Good luck trying to get a random stranger to rent a car for you, let alone lend their personal Camaro to you. I respect your effort, but if you're as mature and respectable as you let on, then you'd be better off trying to find someone you physically know to help out.

I'll be honest, this is one of the more oddball requests I've seen on this forum...

I don't think anyone is meaning to poke fun, some of us just find your request comical. I mean put yourself in our shoes: you have a 2010 camaro that you love more than anything, and this 18 year old kid whom you don't know wants to borrow her to impress a girl. Now would you loan out your camaro to that kid? Thats all people are trying to say.

I have solved your problem! These are pictures of a Camaro limo in the Dallas area, you just need to find out where and how to rent it. This will WOW her!
