I see you guys lol

Here's me vs s2000
Saw the part with us in it. Wife had a good day today, think a few more tweaks and we can get her times down further. Hope your friend realized we were a married couple racing each other.

And you ran some good times, so looks like practice is helping you.

Cool videos guys! Magnum I see you ran a 14.6. Is that one of your best times? I thought most of your others were high 14s to low 15s.

One of them, best is 14.5. Still can't get a good launch on the car and can't figure out why I'm not getting the top end power.

I see what your saying. In one of your first vids (or maybe THE first vid) you actually pull on the Mustang in the top end, but towards the end it appears you are losing steam.

Couple things come to mind, but not sure either are correct.

One, your car is heat soaking after a few runs and your car is pulling timing. I'd say that is a likely culprit of robbing some power.

Maybe the tune isn't perfect, and once you're hitting 3rd the AFR is a bit off, which is robbing your of some power. I've heard of something like this happening before, but I think that was probably with an FI setup.

I'm going to try to remember to bring my laptop and trifecta cable with me next time. Datalog the 2nd run then maybe one of the last runs. You are probably right that my afr is screwed up for 3rd, I did all my datalogs in 2nd.

We may go back to the track while we are still moving, I can't have losing to a mustang over my head.

14.5 is good! The best run for that stock auto Camaro V6 was the 15.0 run against me if I recall correctly.

My friend ran 14.4 in his stage 1 2011 wrx with intake and exhaust(with 1.9 60 foot) on that track too, if that gives you perspective.

I'm just trying to figure out ways to get better right now. I did notice though that when my wife was leaving today and I was behind her in the Mazda, her Mustang had water spitting out of the exhaust when she was on the throttle. Got home and drilled a weep hole in the Borla's and there was alot of water that came out (its recommended on the Mustang forums). Don't know if the water would have made a difference in her speed, but her exhaust should sound better.

Starting to wonder if I should do the same to my ARK DT-S, I saw on my GoPro video that when I did a half-ass burnout I had mist coming out of my exhaust.

Won't be able to race for a little bit now, the gas station that my wife filled up at was out of 91, she had to put 87 in it. Switched the tune out to 87 Street (was at 91 hybrid) so we don't damage her motor.

I also looked at my wife's 60' times, she showed improvement in that area.

What's the Mustang's best time ? I think when you get gears for it, we would be neck and neck! For the Camaro, you should just spray it. Or you can spray the Mustang? My friend has 80 shot setup for his 2011 v6 mustang. As long as you don't do a ridiculous 100+ shot you will be safe.

I plan on doing 75 shot in future and that should put me at ~310-330 whp in a 3100 lb car.

Her new PB was done Sunday, 14.562, but her trap speed was lower (96 vs 99). Her 60' time did improve from 2.4 to 2.3, but I think we both need to clean our tires off, I'm convinced that is whats really hurting us now. Our tires are cold and wet when we launch. Gotta find somewhere we can practice it, can't do it at our current house because our neighbor would be crying too much.

I also need to put a camera in her car looking at her tach. In the videos it sounds like her car is shifting into 2nd before mine, but I have 3.27's vs her 2.73's, I should be the first shifting. Can't tell though because her exhaust is too freaking loud.

She would greatly benefit from a better launch. If she can get traction and drop the 60' to a sub 2.0 time, she should either be in the 13s or really close to them.

After looking at the video, you could also greatly benefit from more traction. Lowering the 60' would get you into low 14s.

Went to Thunder Valley tonight and had a pretty good time. If you look at the 2nd time slip, our ET's were 0.003 seconds apart, but my reaction time was 0.05 seconds better and thats how much I won by. I won 3 out of 5 rounds. I did a data-log on my 3rd run and will send it in to Vince to see if I can get some more speed out of the car and to shift it harder. Her Mustang when it shifts from 1st to 2nd it rocks the entire car, the Camaro doesn't even move. Also going to switch cars next time for a run to see if I can get her 60' time down, think because she is 5' 1" that she can't reach the pedals.

The 60' timer was not work on the right lane, so my car is not that awesome. Made me a little mad because I pay attention to the 60' times more then anything now.

I was #1345, wife was #1346.

Those are awesome numbers!

Tonight ny friend's 2011 Cobb Stage 2 WRX did 14.4 @ 94 as best ET and 14.6 @ 96 for best trap(he can't drive, he doesn't launch it hard, 2.0 60 foot, and doesn't NLS). My other friend's Fox Body cammed 5.0 with C4 3-speed auto did 14.09 @ 97.
