My dealer has been telling me my car shipped, but I could not see it in workbench. He was there for me as I kept calling him to see if he could get me details, but there were none to give.

As I sat at work today with regional directors and District Managers, going through trainings and conference calls from hell I received a call. I looked at the phone and hit the silence key, then realized it was my dealers number. I quickly excused myself from the room and took the call. It was Jim from Luck Chevrolet. I excitedly greeted him and he said "Ernie I am looking at your car". I said "don't BS me", and he said he was and it looked beautiful. He stated everyone in the dealership just absolutely loved the color (IOM).

I got very excited and told him I would be coming as soon as I could. I started jumping for joy, and went back and sat on the conference call. All my Store Employees knew what was going on, so i yelled out "IT IS HERE, MY BABY IS HERE".

I looked at my DM, and ARD and refocused myself for the call. After about five minutes I explained the excitement was killing me and I could not focus any loinger. I needed to leave and go pick up my car.

As I was heading down the road I called back my dealer and told him I was on my way. He stated "not to pick up your car I hope". Well of course I am. I have been waiting way to long to leave it another day. He said he needed time to detail, PMI, and inspect. I told him I would wash it myself, so if he could get it ready I would appreciate it and I would be right there. It took 2 hours to get there, but when I got there it was well worth the drive. I had the wife drive me down to prevent me breaking any speed barriers. Talk about anxiety.

When I went into the dealership I was greeted by the Sales Manager who took me to my car. They were finishing up the installs of the accessories and making sure the interior was right. The car looked BEAUTIFUL! We looked it up and down, and it was amazing. The gold metalic flake in the paint just sets the color off. Most people say there is a color difference in the bumper and the hood. If so it was not noticeable. What I saw was the gold flakes were more pronounced on the bumper due to the angles when the sun hit it. Just AMAZING is all I can say.

After I finished the paperwork (45 minutes) we finished the instructions to setting up the vehicle and went for a test drive. 20 minutes out, and back. We got down on it twice to see what it would do. It dropped down and plastered you to the seat. I only took it up to 65 due to being on country roads. It hugged the curves and stayed steady. Getting used to the width will take a little getting used to, and proper seat adjust, but that is my issue not the cars.

The Sales Manager asked me if I would leave it with them for around 4 days. I offered to with supplier discount, but he would not do it. I had to try.

Mine was delivered yesterday (5/20). Blk/Blk 1ss/rs. Vin a9107591 I picked it up around 5:30, drove it around the city for little bit. Can't drive it today because I'm at work for the next 24hrs. Very impressed with this car, it exceeds every expectation except for the exhaust, which is a little quiet. Overall no complaints because I will purchase the corsa exhaust system when it is available and according to my service tech manager, they will be available through gm and will be covered under my warranty.

We finally got our baby! Came on a transport out of Shreveport,la with other GM cars. will have pictures when our detailing is complete.
this is one car that really has people coming at you from every angle. Be prepared to be stopped many times by guys who love cars. It is so great to have a car you can fall in love with again.
Anyone needing black rally stripe kit, let me know since we are going another route. This is one amazing color. No photo can do the IO justice, you just have to see it.

Dealer recieved my new Camaro 5/22/09 at around 6:45 a.m. I recieved a phone call at 7:45 a.m. I was on a waiting list with the dealer for whatever camaro arrived. so anyways i signed papers at 4:45 p.m. and drove it home.

So far im happy as can be. Just wished i could have got the SS

After what seemed like a long time, my sales person Jerry, at Bud Kouts Chevrolet, called me to let me know that my car was delivered today.
I had called him this morning as normal on a Thursday. I was told that Thursdays is when they get updates. He hadn't heard anything but said that by 1pm he should know something. I wasn't very hopeful. I was on a conference call with a customer when he called and so he left a message. When I called him back, he was out. Man--the suspense was killing me, and I was still thinking "Delay". So Jerry, finally gets in touch with me and BOOOM, he tells me the good news. It's not ready to be picked up though. The Silver Rally stripes still need to be put on and needs to be preped, but he asked if I wanted to see it. I quickly wrapped up my work and flew to the dealership in my mom’s Impala. She's been nice enough to loan me her car for the last 2 months.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am literally sweating with excitement. Even though I'm flying to Dallas in the morning and my car won't be ready until next Wednesday, the wait is practically over. And, I can tell you all that it IS worth the wait. I can't even express myself without sounding wimpy. What a wonderful world!

Ordered 1967 RSSS Dec '66, arrived April 67. Ordered 2SS manual inferno orange Oct 26, 08. Was at 3800 for weeks. No information. Heard the car was in constraint in Pontiac , Mich. Weds the Camaro arrived , unannounced alone on a transport truck. Have hope, you 3800 guys. I guess we never know what is going to happen. The codes don't seem to be updated on the Tues. GM update at the dealers.
The Camaro is extraordinary. Instantaneaus power, magically quiet for the LS 3 engine, seats perfectly engineered for fit and comfort, absolute control in handling , gorgeous. What more can one want? Attracts attention everywhere. The first new vehicle we have purchased in years and the best purchase ever. It is worth the wait for this extraordinary vehicle and driving experience. My life is permanently changed. Fantastic!!!
