An aftermarket system is the way to go, more features and better performance than the factory My Touch system.

hey Christianmotox,

The only issue with the autospatech approach, which is awesome by the way, is you lose the ability to lock and unlock your doors.

I have a 2010 and the unlock button is on the unit itself. If I switch to the My Touch which doesn't have a lock/unlock button then I lose that ability.

The MyLink system doesn't work unless you have the BCM to support it. You're better off spending the money on an aftermarket system. It'll sound much better and give you more features anyway.

This does require reprogramming by the dealer, did you checked the link I posted?

It's not just about sound, some of us want that "stock" look. Watching the video by autospatech it looks like it's achievable.

That upgrade is to add the OEM navigation to an existing non-navigation MyLink system. GM uses an entirely different BCM for the Camaros that have MyLink. The dealership isn't able to program a non-MyLink BCM to the MyLink system.

I already talk to them and that's not what they do.

They will provide you will all the hardware, cables etc. all you have to do is take It to the dealer and haven them reprogram. They provide instructions for you're GM tech as to what to do.

That's why you're paying 1000 bucs

You were misinformed. That system is designed to add OEM navigation to an existing MyLink system that didn't originally have it. The low $1,000 price is your first clue that all you'll receive are the wire harnesses and modules. The MyLink touch screens are vehicle specific and encoded with your Camaro's VIN. If you were able to buy one, it'd cost a hell of a lot more than $1,000.

The kit will be similar to this:
