Cant Find My Car...

Alright, I am new here and saw the camaro last week and simply fell in love with it. Since then I have put my motorcycle up for sale as well as my car which i will be trading in to buy the camaro. Now my issue... I am wanting the 2010/11 manual yellow 1LT with the RS Package and black stripe. Which is pretty popular i assume? Wrong. I called like 5 dealers in my area as well as talked to some auto finder guy and all of which have basically told me that my car is really hard to find with those options. Well number 1, if im going to be paying for a $29k+, i want the stuff i want and thing i deserve to get it.

I have an appointment with the dealer tommorow afternoon and i guess ill lay it out on the line and see what he/she says. also it seems like 90% of the V6 camaros are all automatics??? (makes no sense to me, shouldnt it be the other way around?) Anyways, whats your guys input on this? do you think they will be able to find it or something? and how exactly does the ordering thing work, because i dont want to wait months for it.

We have a handful of very highly and recommended dealerships on this site. Send a PM to CamaroScotty or BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet.

They will tell you straight up if what you are looking for (2010) is available and/or ordering/shipping info on a 2011.

Good Luck.

I was in the same boat. I wanted, what I wanted, so I held off and ordered a 2011. The wait is much shorter than after the 2010 release, so you should have the car within 3 months. It will be exactly what you want.

well the main thing that I want is the RS Package w/ manual transmission. That alone seems nearly impossible to find. I guess I may have to bight the bullet and get the auto.

I wanted a 2LT auto without the RS package, which [I guess] is unheard of around here. I wound up ordering the exact car I wanted, and it's being built in two weeks.

With all due respect, I don't think we need to make blanket statements like that.

My dealership had immediate allocation and it is still going to take 2 months. 2 seems to be normal among camaro5 members. I have seen a few freak cases get lucky and have it in 7 weeks and some who have to wait 3-4 months with no allocation. However, many orders are now being produced due to the completion of the "2 week shutdown". Many people who ordered last week are getting TPWs of Early September. If he goes this week he should get the same if not mid Sept.

Generally a month from order date it is built and takes an additional 2-4 weeks for delivery depending on "luck of the drawl"

Order what you want! Check my signature and see how long I waited. Others waited even longer. The car is worth the wait. And good things come to those who wait.
