Mine just started a couple of weeks ago.

Curious that some dealers are doing the job in an hour and others taking all day....

Well, they may want it for the day to facilitate scheduling but it's a quick re & re job. I scheduled a time with my dealer and waited. I was in and out of there before an hour was up.

I wouldn't be too worried about the diagnostic. Your tuning has nothing to do with the HVAC motor. My dealer just sat in the car and listened to it and signed off. I just dropped mine off today at the dealer to get this repaired so I'm a happy camper for now. Hopefully I don't have to do this again.

I took mine to the dealer and they said they couldn't hear anything. I am pretty disappointed in them. I always hear it on my drive home from work and it drives me nuts, but the dealership is closed by then.

Took mine in for this same problem...along with a bunch of other stuff. Dealer ordered a replacement blower motor, but it is backordered. Apparently it's a big enough problem that they are out of parts.

My service guy sat in the car and heard the noise as well. He ordered the part and I got it put in last week. So far so good, no noise. Hopefully it stays that way.

Blower motor replaced, and now there isn't a noise. Mechanic said it was a pain in the ass, cause you have to cut the old one out.

my blower fan makes an annoying ticking noise at low speeds...I've got an oil change coming up, so I'm going to let the service manager hear it...I can reproduce the sound anytime.
sucks that the old one needs to be "cut out", though? wtf? did the expect to never have to replace a part that obviously has moving parts, and could fail?
