I'm going to watch what these do. Seems from the threads linked and the ones they linked to that there were a few opinions about them. A lot of the anecdotal stories were about other heads too.

Based on info gleaned from several threads, I'm going to go in a different direction regarding TFS.

Matt is going to be doing the heads install and he recommended the TFS heads. I'll be seeing him next Tuesday for a suspension issue, so I'll run this thread by him.

You know it wouldn't hurt my feelings to get some Lingenfelter ported heads. The TFS work out to be about a grand more. I figured it would work out a little more to get them and sell my LS3 heads. Maybe $500 more for what are supposed to be better heads.

Need more research before just labeling them junk. For six bolt heads they may be a good option. Obviously stock ls3 heads aren't 6 bolt.

Junk was a strong word and I apologize TFS(I know you make OTHER great heads) but there are two other aftermarket LS3 castings that are 6 bolt heads(MAST,PRC) that don't have the same issues. 3 more if you count GMPP LSX LS3 6 bolt heads. I really wanted these heads to work out but the valve issue alone would have me steering clear. If TFS offers a factory hollow valve stem option and fixes some of the issues while making more power than a ported stocker then we can re visit the conversation. One thing to think about is even if you get hollow valves for the TFS heads they are still going to weigh more than LS3 hollow valves.
