Probably. The leak is from a plug on the underside of the engine.

Wow, I got my car 2 weeks ago. Its brand new. I just noticed anitfreeze underneath it. I investigated it, and sure enough, its the coolant fitting that goes into the engine block. But, mine was loose. I could turn it by hand. So I tightend it up to 37 ft lbs. I guess I will see what happens.

Here are 2 pics. The end of the screwdriver is the fitting that was loose.

My vehicle is currently at the shop for the same issue. I was wondering will I be charged for this? I had since April 2010 and it has 4400 miles. They shouldn't right?

If your car is stock, then no, you shouldn't be charged for anything.

When I had my oil changed they found this issue during the inspection. It wasn’t cross threaded, but I had a slight leak. They did steps 1-5 and all covered under warranty.

While working on my exhaust I noticed a drip on the crossmember. Was not sure if it was oil or anti-freeze. Took it in to the dealer in the morning and I was told it would take all day to repair. It took all day but it was repaired. Thanks for the heads up.

Mine is back in the shop for this reason. I just got it back a week ago for the lifter upgrade. She was in there for 3 weeks. I kept smelling burning coolant couldn't find the leak. When I read the PIP, I found I could turn this fitting with my finger tips and the hose was wet. Don't know if this is the only cause for the smell but we'll see. I didn't want to hear their excuse why they didn't fix it while the motor was torn down.

My 2010 Camaro also had an oil coolant leak, I was having the oil changed and the mechanic pointed it out to me. The dealer replaced the oil coolant system in the car and while that was being replaced we had to have a new exhaust system put on the car because the baffles cracked. This all happened right at 12,000 miles. The car now has 16,988 miles on it and we have had it almost a year and right now it is sitting at the dealership yet again because a valve spring broke off, fell in to the pistons, and it threw a rod. The car has been in the garage for almost 2 weeks and I don't know if I will get it back. My car has been babied the oil has been changed every 3000 miles, the engine has been cleaned at least once a month. Has anyone else had this many problems with their Camaro?
