Ha ha! I knew this was going to get posted on this site eventually.

I'm just worried about Dark Knight. Heath was going to be The Joker in the new Batman movie. I'm sure this will affect the release, whether or not filming has already been completed.

It is a shame. :(

But, if it's found that it's suicide, my amount of sympathy drops significantly.

I'm not wanting to start a debate on what drives one to suicide, if thats the case here, but I believe suicide is wrong. :( I think it's a cowardly act, and I do not want to hear how "difficult" it was for him, living the life of an actor/celebrity. I'm tired of the glamorization whenever someone dies unexpectedly. I'm tired of the excuses.

Maybe one of these celebrities will act like an adult, take responsibility, and step up and seek help.

(Sorry for my rant.)

By "Dark Knight" I meant the Camaro5 user, I'm sure he was looking forward to that movie.

Filming was completed a few months ago. The only thing affected at this point is pickups and any other post production tidbits to have involved Heath. However, the movie following The Dark Knight was to heavily involve the Joker as well, so it'll either be reconceived or recast.

EDIT

Yeah, he and I both are hurtin right now. I try not to broadcast it too much, but I am a huge comic book fan, particularly of Batman. It won't be the same watching the movie in July...

It's a shame for such a young person not to get the chance to live a full life. I'm sure they will have all the latest on it out in the news soon. I agree with Moose, my faith tells me that suicide is wrong and is a sin. But for right now, we shouldn't have the discussion on the reasons of suicide since we don't know if that's what this was, it could have been accidental.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends, family & fans... and his little girl.

That's really sad. It seems like a lot of celebrities can't handle their "celebrity" and things like this end up happening, how many times???...

Feel bad for Ledger. That is, if it was on accident. If he did it to himself, oh well. Feel the same way as ya, Ed. The M.E. will figure it out.

It's a shame when any young person dies regardless of the means by which they met that end. Yes, suicide is a sin, if that is what it is, but I believe his judgement is to be made by God; and so I have none of my own.

I'll probably get flamed for this but this kind of reminds me of the Tylenol PM Challenge since he was found naked with sleeping pills... for those of you who don't know what that is, you take a few Tylenol PM and see if you can get off before you pass out.... (and yes, I know the challenge is a joke, but doesn't this seem just a bit coincidental? )

I don't think it will affect the release at all. The dialogue editors might have a harder time dealing with his stuff because he won't be able to do any ADR if it's needed. They may have already done that though. There's no telling how far along in post it is. Since the audio has to wait for picture there's no way to tell.
