Right now, I am just trying to get used to how loud it is with the ARH long tube headers with cats and Borla Touring exhaust. I wanted quiet/stealth, but I guess when you have 648hp (525rwhp), you aren't going to be stealthy

I went to fuel it up and when I started the car (foot not even on the gas pedal), everyone in the parking lot quickly turned to see what the heck that noise was

The only system I've read about on the forums that is reasonably quiet, with headers and a supercharger, is MagnaFlow Street (#16579). They use an additional center muffler.

Here's the link:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...one=all&id=117

That's the way I'm going if I end up with a LT/SC combo.

I'm thinking the cam may add to the sound. I have LT headers and a Borla touring exhaust too. My car is not ridiculously loud, but you know it has a V8 in it. I don't have a cam (yet).

I have the startup and idle recorded on video (dyno runs, too). My video camera has the FireWire (IEEE) interface and my sister's computer doesn't have the interface, nor does my brother-n-law's Apple laptop (it does but wrong connector). I will have to wait until I am home tomorrow afternoon to post those.

I put my start up and idle video next to your start up and idle video and it could be the video camera's volume but mine seems much louder than yours. I am very self conscience when trying to get up to speed and around my neighborhood. At speed, it doesn't seem so bad.

I agree. Your car sounds louder than mine. I am not at all embarrassed by how loud mine is. Yet, it does growl, but it's not obnoxious at all. Are you sure they put in a Borla Touring exhaust in your car and not the S-type?

Do your headers have cats? (mine do)... Is the exhaust a full cat back? (mine is). I'm just trying to see where the differences are in our cars other than the cam that might make yours so much louder. Maybe Ask your shop why it is so loud. It really should not be obnoxiously loud with the Touring exhaust on it. I wonder if it could be some of the other parts you had them put in the motor?

On the other hand, the cam really gives your car a nice lope. I love that sound! Thanks for sharing the videos.
