Fuel gauge issues

Hello, I have been noticing on long trips that after about 100 miles at a constant speed like 75mph the fuel gauge reads all the way empty and the distance til empty has dashes. Although I know it has almost a full tank I would have to just go by my trip mileage. When I stop the car and restart it the gauge goes back to normal. Has anyone had the same problem or know what this could be? Thanks

Does this happen all the time? If so sounds like a transmitter problem from the fuel tank. I see you have a 2010 so I suppose it's out of warranty. Looks like you'll have to pay to trouble shoot it unlesss someone else on the forum has had the same problem.
