Spoiler install??

I have a LS and want to add a factory spoiler. I have the spoiler but my body guy wants me to find a template before he will install it for me. Any idea where I could get that from?? I called a dealer and they said if I wanted a spoiler they could sell me a trunklid with the holes already in it. And when I add it what should I do for spacing so I avoid the chipping issue that factory installs have??

You don't need a template I put the factory spoiler on my LS, If
Take off the carpet under the deck lid you will see holes in the lid. All you gotta do is tap a little dent in the middle of those holes and then drill them on and the spoiler should sit perfect. It's really easy.

This!! I helped a friend do his. Just make sure you use some touch up paint to put in the holes after you drill through. Good place for rust to start if you don't.

We drilled from the top down and yes make sure you put something because that bare metal will rust.

You wanna get some locking nuts for your bolts that way your spoiler will not come loose. GM didn't do it right which caused the nut to loosen from the bolt due to vibration. I have had mine on for 7 months now and not one problem.
