I take it you are switching IP's when you get attacked. In which case it takes a few days for peoples computers to resolve camaro5.com to the new address.

Here's a fix for that peeps.

Click the start button, then the run option.
Type CMD in the run box and hit enter. A black DOS box opens up.

Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and then enter. Close the window.

Your stored lookups will be deleted and it will get the new address.

I'm surprised someone hasn't done it before.

Looking up the laws in my state, it's a felony if someone was ddosing the site. And if given the opportunity, I'd even go to bat for Tran filing and pressing charges against the SOB that's doing this...

Ah, I didn't see this thread earlier! Glad Tran was able to get this all sorted out. Was starting to wonder if it was going to come back for a moment.

haha yea for sure. Problem is by nature a DDOS attack is essentially untraceable unless the NSA or similar get involved and spend some serious effort to trace it. That effort will likely not happen for a car forum... unless c5 has some hackers that can help

unless the attack includes cache poisoning, in which case flushing your dns resolver will cause you to retrieve the spoofed IPs

Hahaha. I wish i could help with that. I know next to nothing in the hacking world. But know quite a bit about DNS, DHCP, etc...

You should be receiving emails and/or pm's from whomever you are purchasing through. If any message was sent through the site, it had to have been done when the site was up and running. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to get on the site to send a message, less you being able to receive it.

Now that the site is back up, just send a PM to see where you are at. maybe get some outside contact info like and email address to continue the sale should something happen to the site again.
