Roto-fab Alternative to ADM Scoop

Attached are pictures of my way of providing additional fresh air to my Roto-fab CAI intake box. Step one: remove the L/H wheel well liner. Step two: remove factory windshield washer bottle. (Replace with bag type if you like at a relocated location. Step three: remove L/H fog lamp assembly. Step four: Install perforated cover plate and reinstall black trim piece. It takes about an hour or so and provides lots of fresh air to the air box. I know someone is going to ask what the perforated stainless steel cover plate is so I may as well take my licks up front..... It is a $3.99 stainless steel shower drain cover from Lowes This is just for functionality at point, I'm really not working under a shade tree . It will be very obvious even at a distance who has done this when the approaching Camaro has only the R/H fog lamp lighted. Who knows, it just might catch on and become a club. For now it's just me.

Sorry, there is one step I left out.....reinstall the wheel well liner after previous steps are complete.

Rather than getting more air in I'm going to try and insulate my RotoFab with this stuff

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...de=cii_9324560

I use to use this stuff on the bottom side of my motorcycle gas tanks to keep the engine heat off the the tank. Do you think it would be better on the outside of the air box, the inside of the air box or put in on both sides of the RotoFab box?

I will try and take some pics when finished .... Hey, It can't hurt right?

I probably would have used some Florida mosquito screen instead.

ahhh, looks like you have to go to a Ford Parts Counter..."FoMoCo" printed right on the bag....if that's so, no way in hell it would ever end up in my Camaro....and shouldn't be in yours either.

Ya you're probably right. Without a free 50 Billion dollar handout to keep em in business, it probably is not made very well.
