The vin is assigned just before it goes down... It is not visible until AFTER the car is updated to 3800, usually the next business day. Any dealer including your own can see the order status. Only your own dealer can get the actual event code history though -

I am deployed right now and I get back mid december. If my car gets there before me I don't know if I will be able to handle that. I'm going back to Little Rock, AR. You think it will be there before I arrive? I'm having stripes put on mine so that takes extra time, I guess. I have the BA and Hurst too, but I'm not sure if those take any extra time to install (1SS/RS). Anyways...I just want to be home first so my car doesn't sit on a lot or anything. I really want to be there when they unload it...maybe I'm just wierd.

Good info, Scotty. My dealer has been quiet since the week after we ordered, but I don't blame them, we can't be their only customer. The only request I've made to them that hasn't been answered is not to drill holes in the front bumper. Being a Florida resident, we'll eventually have the car registered in Florida, so I don't want to be left with holes or an unused plate holder on the front of the car because they didn't listen. Once it's closer to time, I'll have to reiterate my request.

We're getting closer!!!
