Isn't that wicker bill the "spoiler extension" that was talked about in the parts thread? I don't know, wasn't paying much attention.
While the fact that those that want the car and got allocations will be able to get theirs is fantastic, I'm glad it's them and not me. As cool as the Z/28 is, I don't have it on my list of must haves, so I'm not worried that I probably wouldn't be getting an allocation. The car doesn't fit in my usage category. Besides, I'd be so freaked out about taking it out anywhere without some ass clown running into it or someone messing with it. It's a special purpose car that's going to be a track warrior's happiness. Please enjoy responsibly.

I don't buy this slash story. I could make up some similar story that the 63-67 Sting Ray is super special because it's two words... and the later 68-75 and current Stingrays are crap It was just some market people's decision... then people make up special stories afterwards. To me the original Z28 was a nice handling car with decent power for a small block, but it was no ZL1 or Yenko. When you think of 60's cars, when was the last time you heard "I really want a 302!!!" It's a gem of an engine but everybody loves the big blocks. I think there are several better GM small blocks put in corvettes... early LT1's, 327 fuelies. I really think the current ZL1 should be the top dog... and the Z28 should be a lightweight handling package with some extra power (basically a 1LE with 25 extra HP) for maybe $5k or so extra. Not a $40k option. |

At first, I liked the new tail lights, but IDK what I was thinking. The Corvette inspired taillights are where it's at. They look sinister, even a bit meaner than the Vette's. I do not like the new design because it does not look iconic. They look like they belong on an Integra or something. They should have done something like the Stingray and tried to make them mean looking, not urban or whatever.
