Anyone know the name of the Carbon fiber style vinyl wrap!?

So I been trying to the the Vinyl in the 1LE as clean and well treated as possible but it still getting dirt spots and finger marks.

I came to Vegas and I saw a Ferrari from one of those Exotic Autos rental for Las Vegas Speedway . The hood of the car was sort of like a Carbon fiber style vinyl and I got to say it looked pretty amazing.

Anyone know exact name of such vinyl? Is it expensive ? Will anyone else do this to their 1LE if the stock Vinyl needed replacement !?

Take a look at metrorestyling :: http://www.metrorestyling.com/

I ordered black DI-NOC CA-421 for a few projects and it worked out great. They will provide samples for you as well.

I have definitely been thinking of replacing the flat black factory vinyl with this stuff, or at least doing some hash marks with it. It's not that expensive, you can order the sizes you need for your project so that you don't end up wasting any, or have excess.

There is a thread in the media gallery section for 2014 exterior mods... check it out, there are some other folks who have the carbon fiber vinyl on their hood and it looks amazing.

Good luck and post some pictures or your project.

I used this to wrap a spoiler. I thought the di-noc was more heavy duty and textured.

I wanted to add that the DI-NOC is rigid and takes a lot to work with it. I am going to try the 1080 next.

Lio - check out the bottom of the page in this link to see what I was talking about for the hood wrap pictures. HerRide has done some awesome work on this!

Hey MikeInAZ thanks do much for the link . I just saw the pictures yeah that looks real nice. I found in Yelp a ship that does vinyl . Whenever I get a chance I'm gonna call them to get a quote.

Any idea if what's consider a good price to do the hood. Side mirrors and rear spoiler?

It's not designed to be used on cars.
That's why 3M created the 1080 Wrap series.

People use it, but it was designed for home projects.
