So....after owning Harleys for some time, I had my first child.....Giuseppe. After re-thinking things, I decided to go back to 4 wheels. I've been looking for a Summit White 2SS, RS, 1LE for a while, but you can't order them, I don't want to wait until the 2015s come out and I didn't want to trek all over the place....which limited me. I also had to find a dealer willing to take a bike on trade that would screw me to much. Then, I searched on Chevy's website and it said a local dealer had a Blue Ray Metallic 2SS, RS, 1LE with Nav, NPP and no sunroof (exactly what I wanted to order) "in transit". I called and said as soon as it comes off of the truck, clean it up and let me be the first to see it. I stopped by the dealer on Tuesday of this past week and they pulled it right in front for me to oogle! It was love at first site. Blue Ray Metallic is such a killer color....I had to have it. After a little push and pull, I got the number I wanted and I drove her home tonight!

I already washed it because the used a ton of tire dressing and it went everywhere! I have a question....what should I use on the hood. I'm gonna go AutoGeeking tomorrow and I need to know what to use.

I use Adams VRT. Watch the videos that show how to apply it. I only use it once every 2 months. Also, never let water dry on the hood to avoid staining.

Congratulations and welcome to the 1LE family! Beautiful color and great options...

After washing the car, I only use a microfiber cloth dampened with soft water to clean the hood. You don't want to use any chemicals or anything that even has a hint of oils in it. I only say soft water because we have a water softener, AZ water is too harsh(full of minerals). Depending on where you live, tap water may work just fine.

PS: If you want that kick ass musclecar sound all the time, you may want to consider pulling #8 fuse in the trunk, passenger side, behind the trunk liner. There are several tips on how to do that, just search for 'NPP fuse pull' in the forums. By pulling the fuse, your dual mode exhaust flaps will be 'open' all the time.

Oh, DO NOT use back to black on the vinyl hood. That caused a ton of or problems.
