I agree, you're not going to see much if anything in 50 miles.

How many miles are on your car? Something else to think about is that as the engine breaks in and the rings are seated properly, you will start to notice less oil being collected because of less blow by... When I first installed a catch can on my old ls3 with low miles, I was collecting 1-2 oz of oil per oil change, but once I got up around 30k miles, I was only catching a table spoon or two... Once you really rack up the miles and the engine starts getting some wear, you will again start to notice more oil being collected again as the blow by increases

It's a 2011 and only has 13000 miles on it now.
