Ok question I see this my car has the Boston acoustics stereo, do I need that sound processor like that's in that one pic? Or do I just need the subs, amp, wiring and that 55 dollar aftermarket amp install kit. I'm confused

If you have the BA system you do not need the line level adapter shown. All you will need is the $55 dollar adapter from ******** that will hook directly to the BA amp and give you your RCA outs, without the fear of back voltage going to the head unit. Then all you need is sub(s), amp, amp install kit and speaker wire. The original post was made in 2009, and people have come up with great fixes since then

Just as good as any other system...it just bridges off your BA system...so you keep your BA system and then add some/more bass with the subs...

Gentlemen,

Unfortunately I got to his thread after I bought the equipment.
I have a NON-BA Camaro.
I have the adapter hooked up to the 6 X 9s. ($29)
I have the amp connector kit hooked up also. ($29)

But when I got to the AMP I needed a REM Remote Ignition wire.
I think I am screwed.

What are my options, I saw that you addressed this Steve.
What do I buy now?

THanks for your help in advance.

Eitherway, this thread should be closed. The maturity level in this thread needs to go way the hell up.

Why are people so dam touchy around here? It was not done well and others should get a chance to learn from this.

I've been installing stereo's as a hobby for about 15 years and I agree this is a hack job. You always want to use the low level, solder and shrink wrap should be used, the correct fuse should be used, ect.

Blanket statement: If you have nothing NICE to say, at least say the truth.

Got the same converter as the op and the ba stock system. What wires doi splice for this its a 2010 v6 with ba system. Looks like i use solid white wire for remote wire and the blue and green wires for the white and browm rca converter wires correct?

Wiring diagram

Since the pic is so horrible can you tell me which wires are which for the adjustable output adapter. Also will the factory amp still run the inside speakers?
Thanks!

Bump... I see so much wrong going on... If anyone needs help setting up subwoofers specifically for the BA system the right way feel free to PM me.

On a few notes, duct tape? Electrical tape? A 200 amp fuse on what looks to be cheap "4 gauge" come on. What are you even grounding to?

Is this Tutorial (at the beginning ) ONLY for those with a Boston Acoustics setup, or will it apply for a basic Factory Standard setup too? Thx.
