Boston Acoustics vs Chevy audio system?

Have anyone heard both the Boston Acoustics audio system from 2SS/2LT and regular Chevy audio system from 1SS/1LT/LS?
How big is the difference?

Yes, the difference is like night and day to me. If you're not an audiophile and are content with not shaking the cars around you to pieces, then the BA system should be fine. I have it in my car, and have contemplated getting a sub installed, but ended up deciding not too. It sounds fine by itself. HTH

Mine is 1SS and it has the regular stereo. I think it sounds great, never heard the BA to know if it's better. The LS3 power plant sounds good enough to keep my ears happy

Mine is a BA and it sounds ALMOST as good as the system I have in the Jeep.
Once you set the EQ in the BA system, it sounds incredible. And it can take a beating too.

I'm not an audiophile and I hate shaking lol, but I'd definitely like a better sounding audio system if the difference is noticeable.

The BA system can be added to any model (sans maybe the LS) as I have it in my 1SS. Honestly, I think both systems are pretty crappy if audio is your thing. It's pretty low on my list so I'm content with it for now, it could always be better though.

Yes - the 1SS does have cloth inserts.

The BA system appears to have a lot more clear and crisp treble and the bass is more defined than the standard system that I have in my 1LT rental... But the 1LT system is not really lacking that much unless you really want to sound like you're in the middle of a concert hall. I haven't really turned the volume up yet on the 1LT, but I'll let you know how it sounds with the volume up.

The BA system is really good. To my ears it sounds like an aftermarket system (which it essentially is)

i'm more than happy with my LS base system. i have heard the BA system it is ok but i didn't notice a huge difference. but i'm no audio expert. low level stuff today is better than most higher end systems from several years ago it seems....
