Ok. I have absolutely no a/c in my car right now, just blows warm air.

its not really a Re call, the programming is just a Technical Service Bulletin, i looked into it when they reprogrammed my car, here is the old thread when it first came up http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149345

I will be getting new compressor and reprogramed tomorrow. Only 900 miles on the car.

The program is not a fully fledge recall. It's what is a called a Customer Satisfaction Program. It differs in that it is a GM program whereas most recalls are forced upon GM. This program covers a problem with the AC system in certain 2011 Camaros. It is also only open until about this time next year. Hopefully we are able to get all the vehicles covered long before then but if not it's got enough of a shelf life for most everyone get this issue resolved. These differences are why you may not have gotten a letter sent to you. I hope that answers some questions about whats going on with this program.

you have the same problem I had with my 2011 Camaro. They needed to order me a new compressor. I hope your fix turns out a little better!

Im glad I found this particular article in the forum. I took my car to get an oil change and car inspection yesterday. When the gentleman greeted me after the fact, he told me about the recall and I looked at him like a deer in headlights. He was kind and stated he took care of it and my air felt cooler driving home. I am just suprised I never received a letter or notice regarding this recall. I wouldent have known about it if I never took my car.

Dropped my car off the other day, they have to replace the Heater Core. Argh.

My AC just gave up the ghost....Can anyone tell me if they have gotten the AC fixed and are happy with the "fix"? Going to the dealership Monday, but is it dangerous to drive it?

Back from shop. Unfortunately, the computer reset didn't get the A/C back. Needs new compressor. 300 miles and 1 week old. UGH. No compressors available, could be up to a month. *sigh*, guess I'll have to keep the top down.
