You will like the sound (although you do get a little drone) + I spot welded the flappers open which helps the low rpm resonance. Cheapest method and anything more will run you some extra bucks. Extra cross members in vert make some mods impractical.

Anyone using the Stainless Works Muffler Delete kit? Any issues using it on a convertible, their site doesn't specify.

Thanks

I had the huge factory mufflers cut off and replaced them with Magnaflow Super 10's (same tips put back on). Cost me $250 for mufflers and labor. Quiet under normal driving conditions. Only really hear it on start up and hard acceleration.

It's a cost effective first step towards a catback.

I started with a muffler delete in my vert, then about a month later went for Solo HF Cats and Catback j-pipes.

My stainless works muffler delete kit arrived today, got it on an hour or so ago. Only slight issue was getting the reciprocating saw at the right angle to cut the pipe without jabing other parts and bending the blade, went through 4 blades but got the job done.

Didn't get a chance to drive it yet, but sitting still it sounds great, will do a top down drive tomorrow to see how it sounds from inside.

I have a SLP Loudmouth with a magnaflow resignated xpipe on mine. I love it but it will never sound like a V8.

We put a bit over 200 miles on the Camaro yesterday with the muffler delete kit on it, wow what an improvement! Its not loud or obnoxious at all, as my wife put it, it finally sounds like it should have from the factory. I wish we'd done this the day after buying the car.

Doing up the Solo axleback (muff delete) this Saturday. I'll post my impressions afterwards.

Not a great video since we shot it with a cellphone inside a metal building but you get the idea. If it ever stops raining I'll do an acceleration/driveby video too.
