Opinions on stripe appearance at spoiler
I understand this has been talked about like crazy around here (did a search already), but I’m having my Cyber Gray stripes installed on my SIM next week, and I’m looking for everyone’s personal opinion on how the stripes should be installed on the rear spoiler.
Should I just take the stripes over the spoiler, stopping short without wrapping around? Should I take them over and around the spoiler stopping short of the bottom of the trunk lid? Or should I have the stripes taken over, around and then underneath the spoiler? I keep looking at pictures over and over and can't decide which I like best. Help! |

Wrap it around spoiler for sure. Stopping at top of spoiler makes it seem something is missing. Continuing underneath the spoiler does not give the car a clean look from behind IMHO.

I am having mine painted on in 2 weeks. I am going over the spoiler and stopping about 1-1/2" - 2" down the backside of the spoiler. I think it gives it a more finished look. If you are going the customer stripe route like me, you also might want to consider widening the back stripes also. The factory rears are actually more narrow than the back edge of the hoodstripes. Looks odd to me.

That's really the coolest stripe look I've seen so far glambert.
So seems like this is what I should have them do with my stripes, right? |

yes for sure thats what I like best under the spoiler then over it and stop on the back of it dont go down the back of trunk , thats what I like at least, And I recommend not getting straight colors , you drive a SIM too , I would get something besides gray or black , I love the effect I got , much more modern. I thought about tinting the stripe with some violet or purple to see what that would do but I chickened out

I like this picture, I plan to do a dovetail spoiler, I figured running them (Silver Rally stripes) to this point and stopping. then blacking out the rear the whole area there, like on Hylton's not just between the lights. Then running them, straight down the front and stopping them just short of the front of the chin spoiler... but I may do something completely different now... Anyway this picture style has my vote.
