Track car and garage picture car - they look different

I'm trying to figure out if we are looking at two different cars.
1. The video of the car on the track doesn't have a piece of hardware on the dash and it looks clean.
2. The still pictures of the car in the garage show the extra hardware on the dash.

Granted, this HW looks like test gear but the pictures make it look like the HW is integrated into the dash.

Are we looking at two different cars here or just the removal of test equipment when the track run started?

SC vs. NA is not a fair compare

Both impressive

ZR1 tops out at 183 mph, better comparison?

Will be a seriously fun car to drive!
Yeah it's fair that it weighs hundreds of pounds less and has
much better aero?

I may have to eat crow on this one and tip my hat to Mr. Settlemire. Great job so far GM, now let's see some 1/4 mile times!

Going to be interesting how many SS fella's look around for a new hood, decals, exhaust tips, etc to schwing wit it. Just like the ol' days! Now, you may even see a few LT owners get it on! Just sayin'.

This sure is exciting time for all! Thanks GM for GITTIN IT DONE!

The Viper just just the record at 7:12 last month. A couple weeks before that the LFA set it at I think 7:14.

These are real questions I honestly dont know.
The ZR1 gears are closer than the Z06 or ZL1. The ZR1 6 gear redlines at 215 mph. But if you watch the video he decided to stay at the top of 5th at about 6400-6500 rpm if I remember correctly, not shifting to 6 gear. I don't blame him cause the ride was not exactly smooth, I wouldn't want to go faster either without more downforce. It make you wonder what a ZR1 would do with front spliters and a fix rear wing like both the Viper ACR and that special edition LFA had.
