Jacking up the front of my car

Morning All,

I plan to install my ADM Scoop today and relocate my washer bottle. I will need to jack up my car, this will be the 1st time I'm doing this and have a question. Based on the picture below, there are 2 front jack points highlighted. Which brace is the better/prefered brace to use, the front or the back. Or does it not make a difference?

I use the back piece that is more in between the front wheels. It's nice and think and will easily support the car. Make sure that you use a piece of wood or something between the jack and cross member.

I also use jack stands if I'm going to have it jacked up for an extended time. Just a personal preference tho, gives me peace of mind.

Thanks for the heads up! What would you suggest, like a piece of 2x4 and how long?

A piece of 2x8 is what i use about a foot long. Jack it up then put the stands under it. I also put some doubled up scrap carpet on top of stands to avoid scratches.
