Well I am at 8 months, now have a tranny that does not go in to first 50%percent of the time or locks when shifting. I don't know man, GM is dragging its ass like there is no tomorrow.

I mean its not like I am complaining about the radio or some stupid little thing. Its a serious issues that could cause me serious damage. If my transmission locks on the highway I could die!!!

And if they cannot fix than they should take the car back.
Last but not least to add insult to injury the two of the dealers i went to asked to find another manual v6 camaro so they can compare.
I am so supposed to do their bidding to prove to them that my transmission is fracked up.. like independent confirmation from neutral third parties was not enough.

Push for them to follow the TSB or find another dealer, I lived with it longer than I needed to just because people on this forum said it wouldn't be a permanent fix. As long as they fix it free, I'll go back and get it fixed again for free.

Well, after nearly 14k miles of no problems on my second AY6 (now at @27.7k miles), it happened again. No bind, just a horrible grinding sound going from 1st to 2nd. Light changed and I ran it up to about 6k in 1st, hit the clutch and tried 2nd...GRIND...awe $#!+, what the hell...quick double check - yep, the clutch is all the way in..tried 2nd again...GRIND! SOB!

I sure hope GM finds a suitable replacement soon for this POS excuse for a performance transmission....

I would imagine that by the time my car has 100,000 miles on it, I will be on my second car from now.

Don't forget the clutch is a wearable item i doubt its covered by the 100000 mile warranty.

Fortunately this problem has nothing to do with the friction plate. It was a loose bolt problem on my car.

Nope, all wear items are covered by the Bumper to Bumper warranty. Which is 3 years/36,000 miles.
