I wonder if I have enough time to get a new license plate before C5Fest?

...maybe I can get someone's attention from the GM crew that is showing up...

And hopefully we all will soon if this "NEW TRANSMISSION" isnt just a myth or something they are telling 2011Camaro just to keep him from going back to the dealer all the time for service.

I think its a myth.. but I do not want to insult him. Sorry 2011Camaro but when you've had my experiences with Chevy you cannot even dream about a new transmission.

Hello Carlos, I apologize for my delayed response. I was researching this issue and unfortunately I do not find any information on whether or not we are working on a new transmission for the Camaro at this time. I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you.

Jeff Morris, Chevrolet Customer Service

Thanks Jeff do you mind if I quote you in the AY6 grinding issue thread?

Are you looking to quote the direct message I just sent you?

Jeff Morris, Chevrolet Customer Service

Well member 2011Camaro is saying that Gm is looking into a new transmission to replace the AY6. Now you did your research and I trust your word highly over his any day and I dont want the people hoping and waiting on something that is not happening. So i would like to let the people that have been subscribing to this thread know that it is probably not happening.

The only problem for me is that it is a major grey area for not only the owners but myself as well. I am not at liberty to discuss model year changes like this and am again unable to discuss future changes on future model years as well. Again, at this point for the vehicles that are already out I have no information on whether or not we are working towards a different transmission. I do give you my consent to quote me and post what I've sent to you on to the thread in the forum at large. I hope this helps to clear up the situation.

Take out old parts...put in new (just as crappy parts)...go back on road. Repeat every 10-15k miles, as needed.

Good luck!
