I dunno...I heard that it's been a hassle lately to get OnStar to swap over the information to the "new" OnStar module...

What seems to be the problem? Does OnStar think you stole the new module therefor they dont want to swap over any information and they disable it instead? I dont plan on keeping OnStar after June when my free trial ends but I still dont want to be completely s.o.l incase in the future I change my mind.

I don't know exactly what the issue was, as I've never done it myself. But if I find the post, I'll link it. Basically the person tried to get OnStar to swap over his account info to the new module, and they were giving them a hard time.

EDIT: http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread...=51929&page=12 and then go to post 464. However, a person below that post said that they had to keep calling back until somebody finally did it

Oh yeah, if you don't care much for the OnStar service, the Bluetooth portion would still work. I suggest you guys form the coalition with mxfan...

I'm thinking about it, I was going to go with the Bluestar option but might do this and not sign up.

I don't think that the steering wheel controls are necessary. Pretty sure you can just use the phone button on the rear-view mirror.
