2010 SS/RS Foglights

This may be a dumb question but here goes. I recently took delivery of a 2010 SS/RS and noticed that I can't operate the fog lights on their own. The fog lights will only come on as the day time running lights. I see in the owner’s manual that the fog lights are operated by pushing the center of the external lamp controls button; however, my car does not have the fog light button. Even though my car does have fog lights, was it an option that I had to pay for that included the button that allowed the independent operation of the fog lights?

Any help is appreciated. If the car was built in error, I assume it would be pretty easy for the dealership to install the correct exterior lamp control button.

Any car with the RS package uses the fog lights as DRLs.

Fog lights are on non-RS cars, where the normal headlights run as daytime running lights.
RS cars have DRL's down there instead, with no switch to turn them on/off.

RS cars don't have "fog lights" - they're just DRLs

for future reference, there's a in the upper-right that can answer many questions such as this

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment that their vehicles fog lamps are inoperative. Further vehicle inspection will identify that the vehicle is equipped with the HID Headlamps RPO T4F. Vehicles equipped with HID headlamps (T4F) have DRLs in place of the fog lamps.

Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a normal operating characteristic. No repairs are recommended.
