Here it is. Just about a month from order to production. Delivered to the dealer in Michigan a couple of weeks ago, just waiting on me to get shipment lined out.
I did actually get a SS1LE, not a ZL1 1LE.

it's a beautiful car, an excellent modern v8, which you can use daily and has a cost/performance ratio that is unbelievably good. The 1LE package on the SS is great, with excellent suspensions, brakes and differential. It's a great car.
Still, it's not as special as the z/28 nor as fast, so I am quite curious about why you made the change? was it just to try something new? were you looking for something more pleasant to use on the normal roads?

Its a little of both. It wasnt costing me anything but insurance but I felt like I had my fun with it. Parts getting harder to come by and as much as I use it, it was making sense to me to just let it go. Could have easily kept it, but I am not the collector type, i’d much prefer someone else get it and enjoy it as I did.

Great choice!! I only like the SS 1LE of any 6th gens.
I’d looked at the same but in blue, before getting my 5th gen ZL1. I think you’ll enjoy it as you did your Z28.

thank you for your sincerity! I understand your perspective, maybe in a few years I will think the same, especially because of the unobtainable spare parts :(
it’s just that there are so few special cars like this left …

anyway, i loved the ls3 engine sound, i am sure you will enjoy the ss 1le

I did. Watched it sit on that dealer lot since March. Took a last minute flight Friday morning down to South Texas and bought it back and drove it home. I sold that 1LE after a couple months and i've been bored. Looked at some other things but all signs pointed toward just going and getting my car back.

Awesome decision!! If I had one, don't think I'd ever want to let it go! Even if parts were getting scarce for it. Love those Z28's. Wished I could have afforded one. But I really love my modded SS/RS!!!

Time for a few 6500 RPM "get reacquainted" therapy sessions!

Wow. Congrats Glad you got your exact car back.

Hopefully I can keep my Z forever and add another car to the stable. I think I would have sellers remorse too.
