Transmission, clutch or my imagination?

Went for a drive this past weekend and noticed something a bit odd.

When sitting at a stoplight, flat pavement, stick in neutral, normal idle, there is an ever so faint “thump” that can be felt in the floor board/pedal 1-2 seconds after I disengage the clutch (pedal to the floor). Repeatable every time you cycle the clutch (engage then disengage).

TR6060 shifts like a dream, clutch has a nice smooth take up, car hooks and books like a champ even in low gear pulls.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Or am I just too used to rear transaxles from vettes and the TR6060 input shaft naturally spins down quickly?

Yeah, the TR6060 in my SS started doing that, which evolved into a clicking noise. Never did figure-out what caused it. I had Hawks Motorsports rebuild my transmission because the Syncros were getting bad. No noises now and performs like it did when new. 288,000 miles on it when I sent it for the rebuild.

Normal. Straight from the mouth of the pT engineer for the car.

I hear so many sounds coming from the car. Plus, shift boot is kind of warm.

Bare-bones with no insulation track car.....

ABM2SS that is impressive! Sounds like I’ve got a good 280K to go before starting to worry…

1970judge reassuring to hear. Hats off to Al and the folks who engineered these, entire car feels solidly overbuilt.

highrevving all I hear from mine is a lopey LS7 at idle and deafening madness ripping through the gears. Forget the A/C, windows down and revs up!

All the above from my car.
The thump in the trans, the thump from the floor pan, etc.
I’m right at 4,600 miles.
No sound deadening and stiff chassis, all kinds of noises.
Have fun, it’s a BEAST!!
