New to ABQ---Bad experience at Casa Chevrolet

Hi all...just moved here a few weeks ago and looking forward to meeting up with you soon. Unfortunately my first post is a bad news story.

Just hit 5000 miles. Made an appt for an oil change (normally always do it myself). Wife takes the car in for the appt. I come home and look at the service paperwork. In the oil line item I see 6.0 (qts)...huh? Maybe they just coded it wrong or its a typo. Go out to the car, pull the dipstick....oil barely on (well below normal) the stick. Called the dealer, left a mesage for the owner and service advisor. This morning the service advisor drives out to my house and puts in 2 quarts of oil in my car...very apologetic. He said he has 2 new service techs who were re-trained (or something).

It was Casa Chevrolet.

On a positive note, I plan on installing roto-fab CAI and corsa catback this weekend. Should sound great with my kooks headers.

wow, the service cat came out and made it right, sounds like Casa is bangin! I am learning here, I take it, it requires 8 quarts for a oil change? Did Casa use synthetic oil?

Sorry to hear of your bad experience with them.

In their defense, it's probably happened at EVERY dealer in the 505.

Moving on...

WELCOME ABOARD!!!!

Keep tabs on the "Albuquerque Cruising" thread as that is our Chat room for the most part and everybody puts something up nearly everyday.

We try to be active and get together as much as possible so if you're looking to have good times in the Camaro, you've found the right place.

And everybody here knows somebody that will take care of ya and shoot ya the best deals around.

From Tint, to Audio, to Go Fast/Burn Rubber stuff....we have people.

Again, welcome to the fold and hope to see you around!
Ivan

Lomas Glass and Tint for window tint. Motiva for engine tuning.

Lomas Glass & Tint is the "Crowd Favorite" for your Tint.

I can get you pretty much anything that bolts in and on your new Camaro...or any other car or truck.

Find what you like, give me a call or PM and I'll give you our best price!

I guess their Casa, wasn't your Casa, huh? I've been lucky with every Chevy Dealership I've dealt with.

I'm not too happy with any of the dealerships here. That's why I get my car serviced at either Car Crafters or Bodyworks by R&C. Both have full mechanical shop capability.

Welcome aboard!

First off welcome.
Second, Casa did the very same thing to mine.
When I got home I told my wife I should check my oil cause you never know.
Went out to the garage and guess what, did not even register on the dip stick.
Looked at the paper work from Casa, sure enough said six quarts.
First when I called to tell them they said drive it down here we will make it right, I don't think so, bad enough I drove it home in the first place.
They ended up coming to my house, filled it up, and said the next oil change is on us. The only way I would take them up on that is if they give me the oil and
filter and I go home and change it myself.
Oh yeah this happened back in the end of april, so I don't guess the training is going well!!!!!

I just checked my paperwork from Galles & Davis and they used 8 qts of Mobil 1....I would recommend them for any work on your Camaro! I loved them when we had our Cadillacs and they treat you like you someone! Not just a number! Ask for Greg in Service for an appointment and he will get you taken care of! A+++++++++++++ I wouldn't take my car to any of the Chevy dealers here! They all treated me like crap when I wanted to buy! I never forget!!!!!! Don't mess with a woman!!!!
