Welcome! Just in case you're unfamiliar, Joe is kind enough to do these checks for us out of his personal time - he's not being paid for it. Just make sure not to abuse it (such as asking about another order unrelated to your Camaro), and thank him for his time! Assuming your dealer actually placed the order (and you have an order number, so....that's a yes), you should be in the system immediately.

You said "thanks" so you're already ahead of some ;-)

When you say 2SS has been constrained, I am one of the few that does NOT want a 1LE car. Is the 1LE an issue or just being any 2SS?

There is at least 1 2SS that would fit my plan nationwide but it's a little bit of a drive to get it. Should I abandon my order and go for that one?

What is a "little drive"? If it's 500 miles or less, I would jump on it w/o hesitation if they are willing to work with you...farther? Think about it a bit more.

Many thanks Joe! This helps set expectations. It sounds as though once an order is accepted by GM, it "should" be built. Nothing sounds definite these days.

Yeah, that's a haul.

I very nearly accepted driving 2700 miles to Rhode Island to buy a car they had, but my order got picked up just prior to placing a deposit on it. Im grateful for that, as by the time shipping, fuel, hotels, flights, etc....were factored in, it'd have been +$5K.

Just going off of typical time in 4B00 status for 1LE's getting a hood wrap, you're still in the relatively normal timeframe. Typically 1-2 weeks after being built, which we are.

I'm pretty sure they build up a certain amount to get wraps, and a guy (team?) comes in and knocks them out in batches.

Just for FYI - I ordered a 1SS in November and the allocation was received about a week ago. I was told that the Cold Air Intake option has been discontinued. Don't know if it's temporary or final.
