i am not mechanical, so when i get a CAI, i have a mechanic friend who will put it on for me, and i will even pay him for the install. i know and admit i am stupid with cars, and i dont take chances or do stuff i aint sure i know what i am doing.

I'm 15 and put the K & N Air intake that I got this Christmas in my Camaro by myself for the most part! Pretty easy, can't believe someone would screw up an install that badly, just follow the instructions! I mean how do you leave the throttle body exposed like that!

I installed an Airaid on my GS and in less than 30 miles the CEL came on ,I knew it was the Airaid system, so I put the stock cleaner on and the light went out,I made contact with Airaid and they sent me a new air horn ,we checked it out and there was a pinhole in the first horn,so your friend must have had that CEL on for some time! Crazy to ignore an engine light.
