1969 retro kit on a C5

This is at our local dealer. The front I like, the chrome stick on plastic rear bumper I don't.

I'm not really a huge fan of it. The front just doesn't really flow with the lines of the car very well and that rear bumper....yeah I agree with you.

I think my major dislike with this kit is how the grin/grille sits too far forward and too low.

Heres a quick MS Paint alteration to give an idea of where placement might look better.

One of the above posters got it exactly right. That front doesn't flow well with the body lines and that chrome piece across the rear is a disaster. You can get that look for a lot less than $11,000. Just add the heritage grill and there's an aftermarket option for headlight covers. The kit I do like is the Z/TA. Not sure if I'd get it because the Camaro looks so good.

On second look it's really a bad package. At least get some retro looking wheels.

Always disliked this. The idea is cool in theory but there's just so many issues that make it not look right.

$12k to make your car look like a sad droopy wannabe '69. What a bargain!

That's hideous. There's a reason why GM didn't put a 1969 front end on the 5th gen and people need to understand that it does look that horrible.
