Painted Calipers

Anyone here painted their calipers? What's the easiest way to do it and what did you use? Any problems after?

I went cheap.
Take them off, plug the bleeders, and shoot them with a few coats of rattle can red. Looks great after almost 2 years. Mine is a daily driver, so powder coating was wasted money.
Other cars, I have taken the caliper off, placed a towel over the rotor, and set the caliper back on. Then painted it. It will cover all the visible parts, and give you the same basic look without having to bleed the brakes.

This is my next mod too. I'm going to use caliper paint as the other poster said.

Well, I have some VHT red caliper paint to match the color scheme of my car, I was planning on taking off my wheels, and then covering up the rotors with plastic bags or something and then spraying my calipers. I also have some black Brembo caliper decals coming in as well to place on them. The reason I'm asking this is because my dad is saying it would mess something up and fade away with the heat from the calipers.

No offense to your dad, but it's called "caliper paint" for a reason...it's made for extreme temperatures.

Any high heat spray paint will work also. It may not last forever, but what really does?

Use G2 Caliper paint. It's not that much considering you spent thousands on your ride. Easy to use and looks great and last a life time. Gave me enough to coat all calipers 4-5 times. I put on four coats and still had plenty to do another coat or two but decided four was enough. Didn't take calipers off just masked the rotors and other things I didn't want paint to be.

Same here. I think the can was $6, three years ago.

So all you did was cover up the rotors and you left the entire caliper uncovered?

I painted my calipers with a small brush. Think it came out really good. Applied the heat resistant brembo decals also. Paint used, Folia Tec. Really nice 2 comp paint!
