Iam talking about 1/4 mile, how many EVO x are running 11's with stock turbo? Maybe a hand full?
I've been knee deep into EVO before they came over in 2003, had a 03 and a 06 can't bring myself to get a X and have to spend/do more $ on mods (prety much a new turbo with bolt ons) just to run with my old evos.

I have personally been at many event and dyno days. Mod for mod now the Evo Xs are putting down more power. Full bolt on IX same day same tuners averaged 310-315whp on cobs mustang dyno. EvO Xs with just a tune put that much down. Mine with bolting and tune put down 341. Evo IX on drag strip may still be the stuff due to Iron Block, but they haven't beat the X on a official road coarses with real drivers in a while.

I raced a 2005 evo 8 rs salvaged title with 75,000 miles on it, with full exhuast and a blow off valve and intake against my ss l99 with borla atak exhuast and k&n intake and he beat me by a car length in a little bit more than a quarter mile. Camaros cant keep up with evos from a dig. that was only an 8 with minor mods, i wouldnt want to see what a modded 9 would do to my car.

Ahh, Drag is different story. I would never buy an Evo to go straight. I would buy a Camaro. I bought the X for same reason I would have bought a IX for how fun the back roads and track are. I never even ran my fairly moded X down a drag strip. Now I would take a ZL1 down one though.

That is the interior from a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR.
The US didn't get the Evo X until 2008.

This is the 2008 Evo X's interior.

The X with Nav inside looks much better also. Still cheap as hell, but better.

Not even close brother. I have ss and my friend got an evo x at first he pulled like 1 car ahead and around 80mph we're pretty much even i just started to pull around 90 to 100mph(4th gear)
So it means dont mess with those evo. So for v6 camaro i would say you're just gonna see a pair of taillights of evos.

Ya, 80 plus SS all the way. I would say SS all the way from about any roll greater than 40. Even pretty modded the 4 cylinder and gearing in the 10 really start running out of steam at triple digits.

Obviously your friend's Evo X is modded.

A stock Camaro SS will annihilate a stock Evo from any speed.

Unless he lauched like crazy and put 4+ cars on your off the line, there is no way he should have even been close to you. Those cars are not that fast.

Annihilate is rather strong being that 1/4 times and 0-60 times stock are fairly comparable. No the Evo is not that fast, but in delay in taking off and ground is hard to take back. The SS stock is not a super beast as far a acceleration goes. Is it faster than an Evo yes, but I don't think it is as big as you think. To 100 one slightl poor shift and the Evo goes by you.

We're talking about a difference of almost 10MPH in 1/4 mile trap speed.

In a race to 100MPH, the Evo would be annihilated.

Evos were design for track course thats why their low on top speed. They have short gear ratio. Being AWD and having 21psi turbo made them perform.
