Did you notice in the reveal, Reuss talked about magnesium and titanium undercarriage, lightweight interior pieces, (door panels) that they scrutinized every gram of weight going into the car.

I hope that translates well into the next Camaro.

It'd be nice but not expecting it all.

As long as the pieces aren't ATS specific, I would expect them to use HS steel stampings for the entry level cars, and use (some of) the Ti/al in the Z/28 & ZL1 if it carries over.

Compared to an existing Mustang V6, achieving "parity" for the ATS-based Camaro shouldn't be difficult.

Mustang V6, now, is 188.2/107.1/73.9/55.8/3447

ATS V6, apparently, is 182.8/109.3/71.1/55.9/3400ish (318hp X 10.8 = 3,434)

Current Mustang GT = 3602 lbs./BOSS = 3631 lbs.

Gen-6 Camaro SS/Z28 is likely to be in this neighborhood, as well (+100/engine, +75/driveline-wheels-tires-brakes). How much high-tech trickle-down from the ATS, to offset some of this on V8 versions, remains to be seen.
