TESLA stock has went from $35 share to ver $90 in the past 90 days.
kind curious you would choose it over a benz-bmw-audi.....not choose one over a camaro it's faster-classier-looks better (even with 4 doors) do you mean because of the price difference? |

True. Very quick of the line and at legal speeds damn impressive. On a track, road course or drag strip the Tesla hits a wall. But nothing, and I mean nothing has impressed me driving around town or in traffic like the Tesla S. it was the 85 BTW. If you did own this, you could just have a pure track car as your second vehicle.

Ask Tesla what it costs to replace the batteries which are "save you so much gas money"
I could tell you but I don't want to spoil it. I think Teslas are cool, but the whole you save a ton driving an electric car is garbage. You are merely shifting costs to your power bill and when those batteries need to be replaced I'd suggest a gallon of lube... Boss is money, I wouldn't take a Camaro over a Boss (unless it was a ZL1). Spent the day lapping a ton of people at the. Local road course with a Boss 302 2 weeks ago. Awesome car and my vette wasn't much faster than his Boss.

^^^^^
was told from tesla "batteries should last in the area of 7-8 years with putting 10-12k for miles annually. also the battery is 100% recyclable, once enough batteries are being produced, I wager we see battery refurb business start to spring up and they will be pretty cheap. You do save a ton of $ driving an electric car and i really wouldn't argue that. facts are facts. |

Don't think I'd buy one to save money, or even the environment for that matter. I mean I drive a Boss, right. No for me, it would be a luxury cruiser that just happens to be very quick and unbelievably practical. Plus that cabin is just a damn nice place to spend time, especially in rush hour traffic.

Yeah they are everywhere now.
I have been doing this exotic car event for years every Saturday and up until last week we never saw any except the old ones that have been out awhile. Last Saturday there were probably 8 there.

I still think the cars are cool, I just feel the claims are a bit misleading.

They make these cars 5 minutes from my house. I wouldn't buy one right now. The tech is still too infant and the price is still way too high. Lets face it. It's a toy car for the rich...not for the average joe. If you want to save money, get a toyota yaris.

Love those things, but correct that they are not a car for saving money right now. This is the first serioous salvo IMHO in the electric car game. The first with excellent power, impressive acceleration and most important, good range. This is where more work starts to go into making prices cheaper. And powering with electricity s a hell of a lot cheaper than gasoline, not replacing one with another, electricity is WAY cheaper per mile than gasoline.
