Magnaflow 3" competition series

Does anyone know if the Magnaflow 3" competition series catback exhaust match up with a regular midpipe/xpipe. Most systems run 2.5 " so I am concerned....

on arh headers w/ the arh midpipe the magnaflow catback will hook to it, you just don`t use the magnaflow x-pip portion. The connection tubes and rear mufflers are used and attach to the arh setup, you do have to cut the arh x-pipe about 6 inches from the end but is very easy.

Bolt on best before blower 12.22@113.29 w/ nothing but ARH headers, catted x-pipe, ADM CAI and a tune on stock Pzero`s!

Other car 2008 C6 Ls3, z51, A6, Npp Exhaust, best bonestock pass 11.80@118.82, Number 2 on the Corvette Forums Bonestock fastest list..

The Magnaflow 3" cat-back has a 2.5" inlet. This will allow you to install it on the factory midpipe.

So...No...technically it's not a "true" 3" system. The only way to get that is to buy a complete 3" system from header to exhaust tip.

For the most part, any 3" cat-back that is sold as just the cat-back and not the complete system will have a 2.5" inlet in order to hook up to the factory midpipes.

Although if you do have say an ARH 3 inch or kooks ect.. the magnaflow connection pipes are full 3 inch and you cut the arh mid before it necks down to 2.5, makes for 3 inch all the way out the back baby!

I got all the stuff in the mail, so I took it all out and set it up so to speak and it all fit in fine. I was just worried that there was no drop down to 2.5 ", but like caverman said, the inlet let it fit fine with the midpipe. Getting pretty stoked.

Cool, and if you add headers and that companies 3 inch x-pipe you will have 3 inch exhaust all the way back since you won`t be using the magnaflow x-pipe.
