Any reason to keep the stock exhaust?

I just installed the MRT axle-back v2.0 yesterday and now I have the stock exhaust just laying in my garage. They had to be cut off, so I'd imagine the only way they'd go back on is if they could be welded on.

My question is, is there any reason to keep them? I was thinking about cutting off the tips and selling the rest to a scrap yard.

Figured. Seems like a good amount of metal. Think they're worth anything?

Thanks

a few dollars at a scrap yard.

Mine would have probably been worth a bit more since the cats were still attached.

I put mine out the night before heavy trash day - Someone picked them up before the trash man did - good luck to them

You can makes some of these out of the tips, but not much use for the rest.

Sometime ago Gretchengotgrowl (Derrick) and I were talking about what to do with the exhaust tips from our stock mufflers. I mentioned turning them into a pencil holder would be cool. However, I had just disposed of my mufflers knowing I would NEVER need them again. What a waste of a couple good tips. Derrick took it upon himself to create this fantastic looking pencil holder and sent it to me a couple days ago.

THANK- YOU for the GREAT gift Derrick.

If you dealer voids anything other then issues with your mufflers, then your dealer is an idiot and sucks and you should find a new one FAST!!

It depends. If you ever plan on trading it in, you will want to put the factory stuff back on and sell/reuse the performance parts. If you sell it outright or keep it until its trade in value is crap (~10 years or so), then there is no reason to keep any of it.

That said, tho I do not plan on trading it in, I haven't been psychologically able to toss mine yet. I'm sure they'll just take up space until I move again and then get trashed.

Your dealer is ghey. Chevy dealers sell Borla axlebacks. Find a new dealer who has a clue.

Scrap the muffler, keep the tips.

Thanks again Derrick (gretchengotgrowl) for the AWESOME TROPHY.

Looking over it at it now.
